Mount Precipice is located in the Lower Galilee, near the cities of Nazareth.
Archaeological excavations in the caves found human remains with an estimated age of 90,000 years old. The humans were buried properly. The pottery found at the site and other findings indicate that the place was used as a residence.
Mount Precipice is where, according to tradition, the people in the city persecuted Jesus. Apparently Mary was also there, scared to think what could happen to Jesus, until she saw him emerge unharmed.
There is a road leading to the summit of Mount Precipice; down the road you will see a church that marks the place where it is said that Mary had waited fearfully. At the top of the mountain, you will enjoy a magnificent view over the Jezreel Valley, the place where this biblical story took place.
