When to Go
It’s usually a good time to visit Tel Aviv during the fall and spring, when it is not too hot but you can still go to the beach (September, October, May, June). November is usually a good time to go. The lifeguards are still working and protecting beachgoers, which means you still see people swimming and having fun at the beach.

Getting Here
The Ben-Gurion International Airport is located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem about 20 km from Tel Aviv and 45 km from Jerusalem.
To reach the airport from Tel Aviv, you can use the train, which also operates at night, the trip takes about 20 minutes.
You can also take a taxi. There is no shared taxi service (Sherut) between Tel-Aviv and the airport.
Getting Around
Buses and train transit stops around midnight. There are some night buses operating on some lines, but their frequency is very low and exist only in the summer season.
Money
There are exchange offices throughout the city, most do not charge to exchange. Banks sometimes charge a commission. At the airport the exchange office is open 24 hours a day. Of course there are many ATMs in Tel–Aviv to withdraw money and can pay in most places with a major credit card.
Safety
Tel Aviv is much safer than most major big cities in the world. The homicide rate in Israel is 2.1 per 100,000 people compared to 5.0 in the US.
There were periods where Tel Aviv experienced terrorist attacks, however it is statistically more likely to have a car accident than to experience a terrorist attack.
